Pioneer Power Group was contracted to perform a load-flow study for a large commercial facility. The end goals of the load flow study were twofold. One study goal was to prove that the loading within the system would not cause voltages in the system to sag or swell to the point where system performance was impacted, or equipment would be damaged. A second goal of the study was to ensure that distribution equipment, transformers, and cables were not subjected to continuous currents above their rated values.

Pioneer Power Group was tasked with performing short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies for a medium-sized commercial facility. During the data-gathering phase of the project, the customer realized that they were missing significant data sources required for study completion.

Pioneer Power Group was hired to conduct a study for a new switchboard. The project was focused on revising an existing study completed by a different firm while assisting the customer with a lead time issue for a new switchboard. The customer needed to complete the study quickly to meet lead time requirements from the equipment manufacturers.

Pioneer Power Group was contracted to perform an arc flash study and to provide arc flash labels showing relevant incident energies. The customer had specific, unusual requirements for the layout, text, and colors on their arc flash labels. Over the course of several projects for this customer, we modified the labels to match what was required for their specific purposes.

Pioneer Power Group was contracted to perform arc flash modeling for a client that was struggling with time constraints and lack of data access. Pioneer Power Group was contracted by a client to produce a series of studies for new electrical equipment which would be installed downstream of existing equipment. Three studies were to be completed:

Pioneer Power Group was contracted to perform a short-circuit/coordination study for the safe installation of a new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Plans for the new equipment were already underway so our client needed the study results as quickly as possible.

Pioneer Power Group was contracted to perform a coordination study for an industrial facility. The one-line diagrams of the distribution system contained both new and existing medium and low voltage equipment.

Pioneer Power Group was contracted to perform a short-circuit study for an apartment complex. The system contained an automatic transfer switch (ATS) fed by the utility via an upstream panel on the normal power side, and by a generator on the emergency power side.

Pioneer Power Group was tasked to perform an electrical system study for a university; this included short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies. The distribution system consisted of several switchboards, panelboards, and overcurrent protective devices that required evaluation to confirm that they would be able to withstand or interrupt any fault current in the system.

Pioneer Power Group was contracted to perform an arc flash study for a new building. The distribution system for the building contained a main distribution panel and multiple branches downstream containing panels and step-down transformers.
